"Professor": Academic staff members at higher education institutions in Israel

"Service": All functions and features offered through the website

The Service

Dargu is a platform that allows students to rate and write reviews about professors at Israeli higher education institutions. The service includes:

Searching for professors by academic institution and faculty

Viewing existing ratings and reviews published by other users

Writing reviews and providing new ratings

Viewing course lists taught by professors

The service is provided free of charge and funded through advertisements. Dargu reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior commitment.

Registration and Login

A valid Google account is required to write reviews

You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all actions performed through it

Only one review per user per professor is permitted

The website reserves the right to block accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in severe cases

Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions will result in immediate blocking

You confirm that you are at least 16 years old. Use of the website by minors under 16 is prohibited

Code of Conduct

Reviews must be based on genuine experience in a course or with the professor.

Permitted

Honest reviews based on genuine personal experience

Constructive feedback on teaching methods, course content, and teaching quality

Rating the clarity, difficulty, and helpfulness of the professor

Sharing academic tips and advice for other students

Strictly Prohibited

Offensive content: Defamation, harassment, or personal attacks

Personal information: Publishing personal details of professors unrelated to their academic role

Illegal content: Threats, incitement, racist content, or content that violates any law

Fake reviews: Ratings of professors you have not studied with, or reviews that do not reflect genuine experience

Spam: Repeated reviews, irrelevant content, or attempts to manipulate ratings

Commercial advertising: Promoting businesses, services, or products

Copyright and Content

Content ownership: You retain copyright over the content you publish

License to use: By publishing content on the website, you grant Dargu an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and transferable license to display, reproduce, distribute, and use your content in connection with operating the service

Content removal: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide justification

Content backup: You are solely responsible for backing up important content. Dargu does not commit to maintaining backups of user content

Dargu intellectual property: All rights in the website, design, logo, code, and structure belong to Dargu and are protected by intellectual property laws

Privacy and Personal Information

The use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Service.

All reviews on the website are anonymous. Your name and identity will never be displayed alongside your review

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel, including the Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981, the Consumer Protection Law 5741-1981, the Communications Law (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) 5742-1982, and the Prohibition of Defamation Law 5725-1965

Any dispute arising from these terms or use of the website shall be adjudicated exclusively by the competent courts in Israel

In the event of a conflict between the Hebrew version and any translation, the Hebrew version shall prevail

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect

For Professors

Right to request correction of factual information in their profile (not subjective opinions)

Right to report offensive, defamatory reviews, or reviews containing personal information

Option to contact us for removal of content that violates the terms

Dargu will address professor inquiries within 14 business days

For Students

Right to edit or delete reviews you have written

Right to privacy and anonymity subject to the Privacy Policy

Right to access information published on the website

Enforcement and Moderation

We reserve full right to take the following actions, at our sole discretion:

Warnings about content that does not comply with the terms

Removal of reviews or content that violates the terms

Temporary suspension of accounts

Permanent blocking in severe or repeat cases

Reporting to law enforcement authorities in case of suspected illegal activity

The website is intended for academic reviews only. Reviews about personal aspects, irrelevant topics, or matters unrelated to the professor's academic role will be removed.
